This former cook is a master of organization! Responsible for the whole stock, the head of the logistics department manages with his team the input and the output of 7 to 8 million bottles that go through, each month, the premises of Sicsoe Wine Logistics Solution.
Wine logistics, a matter of logic
In 1993, Christophe Passebon decided to change profession. He was a cook who then turned to logistics. Two trades a priori different but which require close qualities: be able to work quickly and well. For this, Christophe Passebon’s great strengths are his organizational ability and logical thinking. With him, nothing is left to chance!
“The idea is to save time with respects to everything that we do. This then allows for a margin to manage hazards“.

A working method that pays off, since Sicsoe Wine Logistics Solution continued to develop in the 1990s.
“At Sicsoe I’ve managed to grow with the business“.
In 2002, the relocation from Floirac to Cénac marked the start of a new era. New larger buildings, more efficient technologies, new bottling lines, optimal working conditions: all these assets that appeal to Christophe Passebon. Meanwhile, he was appointed logistics and inventory manager.
“I put a lot of myself into it. For 2 or 3 years, everything was done on paper and with memory. I knew by heart all of the customer addresses, the bottles and their labels!”

Now, the manager could no longer do without the advanced computer system introduced in 2011. Everything is centralized with a single software. This system provides a comprehensive view of the entire stock, for better controls and smooth organization of arrivals.
Wine logistics: zero error objective
In 2015, Sicsoe boasted of having made 0.01% error in managing shipments: “With 7 to 8 million bottles per month in transit from us, it borders on excellence!”. Not counting the mechanization of the tools which helps optimize the execution time. Enough to be proud of, but the inventory manager likes to set himself new challenges. With the arrival of Bertrand Ravache as a new shareholder in 2016, the rate of Sicsoe has gone up from 10 million bottles per year to 40 million bottles. To achieve this goal, the company acquired a new, high performance drawing line.
“For me, it’s a new challenge. We take part in the development of the company. We need to think every day about how to improve everyone’s work“.
A work ethic that Christopher Passebon has put into practice with his team for 23 years, and that has helped make Sicsoe a key player in wine logistics.
